My interest in photography started when I was 8 years old. Polaroid, 35mm, 110 film, and Super 8...

Today I'm an instructor, award-winning nature photographer, and member of Nikon Professional Services. I currently live in the North Carolina Piedmont town of Chapel Hill and work nearby at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro, NC.


Some of the locations I've photographed include the 1000's Islands, NY, Seoul, South Korea, Blue Ridge Parkway, NC, Great Smokies National Park, TN, Grand Canyon National Park, AZ, Zion National Park, UT, Bryce Canyon NP, UT, Similan Islands, Andeman Sea, Thailand, Denali National Park, AK, Kenai Fiords National Park, AK, and the Big Island of Hawaii.
